Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center

The Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center is an information project which has been operating for three and a half years. It is part of the Center for Special Studies ( CSS ), an NGO in memory of the fallen of the Israeli Intelligence Community. It is located near Gelilot , north of Tel Aviv, and headed by (Lieut. Col. Ret.) Dr. Reuven Erlich.

 

The Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center deals with issues concerning intelligence and terrorism (including incitement to violence, terrorism support and sponsors.) The following are some of the topics the Center reports on via its Internet site and Email bulletins:

   

The Palestinian Authority and its policies regarding terrorism and terrorist organizations.

    Palestinian terrorist organizations and activity during the current lull in the fighting.
   

Incitement (with special emphasis on anti-Semitism in the Arab and Muslim countries) , hate propaganda and educating for hatred of Israel and the Jewish people.

   

Terrorism-sponsoring countries (especially Syria and Iran ).

   

Hezbollah, its terrorist activities and the countries supporting it.

   

Financing terrorism : financial support from Arab countries (e.g., Saudi Arabia and Saddam's Iraq ) and donations transferred by funds and foundations abroad to the Palestinian terrorist organizations.

    Links and connections between Palestinian-Middle Eastern terrorism and world jihad.
   

Suicide bombing terrorism and its source in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

   

The involvement of women and children in Palestinian terrorism.

     
 

The Center boasts:

   

A small staff of experts who write Information Bulletins on a wide range of topics related to terrorism, hate and anti-Semitic propaganda and incitement to violence. The Bulletins are issued chiefly in Hebrew and English (since the beginning of 2005 many have been translated into French, Russian , and Arabic ).

    An Internet site , which logs almost 100,000 visitors a month (as of May 2005) from all over the world, chiefly from the United States , Europe and Israel . The site operates in Hebrew, English, French, Russian, and Arabic ( http://www.intelligence.org.il ). It is considered one of the world's leading sites in the field of terrorism.
   

An email service for the general public. Among the subscribers are senior policy-makers, leading media personalities and members of academic institutions and institutes which specialize in global terrorism

A display of Palestinian documents and materials relating to terrorism, captured by the Israeli army in the Palestinian Authority-administered territories. The display includes weapons, posters, documents and various types of equipment. (To arrange visits, please contact the curator, Zmira Lavie , at 972-3-7603578

A library and computerized information center housing about 17,000 books and tens of thousands of articles and documents and films (including those produced by the CSS), all dealing with intelligence and terrorism. An archive of Palestinian documents dealing with terrorism and the support of terrorism. The documents were captured by the Israeli army in the Palestinian Authority-administered territories during the ongoing violent Palestinian-Israeli confrontation.
