Saudi money transferred to the Palestinian Terror organizations

1.	Additional captured documents and public Saudi statements increase the corpus of evidence demonstrating Saudi financing of terrorist organizations and terrorist activities.

2.	Amongst the documents captured from the Charity Committee of Tulkarm (aligned with Hamas) were additional tables of payment cycles disbursed by the Saudi Committee for Support of Intifadat al-Quds to families of the Intifada’s casualties. The aforementioned tables are a further indication that the Saudis are aware that in the framework of payments to families of casualties, funds are also transferred to families of suicide terrorists who have perpetrated terrorist and killing attacks. The tables show two suicide terrorists who carried out murderous attacks in Netanya (in one of these attacks, three Israeli civilians were killed and 56 injured; in the second, five were killed and in excess of 100 injured). In addition, bank checks found among the captured documents show the manner in which funds have been transferred from Saudi Arabia to the Charity Committee in Tulkarm via banks in the US.

3.	Publicly – from public Saudi statements – there is Saudi duplicity with regard to suicide terrorists. While Saudi spokesmen in the US attempt to counter Israel’s accusations on Saudi Arabia’s role in funding terrorism, the Saudi Minister for Religious Affairs made his principled support for suicide bombings clear at an Islamic conference which took place in Malaysia in the following statement: “Suicide bombings are permitted…the victims are considered to have died a martyr’s death.” (Turkish Daily News, 7 May 2002).
